Perceived stress and psychological status of medical staff in a tertiary general hospital during early stage of COVID-19 epidemic

目的

评估冠状病毒病2019(corona virus disease 2019,COVID-19)流行早期医务人员的感知压力及心理健康水平,探索感知压力对心理健康的影响,以及社会支持在两者中的中介作用及应对倾向的调节作用。

方法

采用10项压力感知问卷(PSS-10)、简易应对方式问卷(SCSQ)、领悟社会支持问卷(MSPSS)、12项一般健康问卷(GHQ-12)对常州市某三甲综合医院的1 064名医务人员进行问卷调查。使用相关分析、SPSS-PROCESS宏插件对有调节的中介模型进行检验。

结果

(1)社会支持得分为(64.56±12.70)分,积极应对维度得分为(25.67±6.49)分,消极应对维度得分为(11.63±4.67)分,感知压力得分为(19.14±5.23)分,心理困扰得分为(13.47±4.53)分。(2)感知压力与心理困扰呈正相关(r=0.40,P<0.001),与社会支持(r=-0.14,P<0.001)、积极应对维度(r=-0.14,P<0.001)负相关。(3)感知压力显著正向预测心理困扰水平,社会支持在感知压力与心理困扰之间起到部分中介作用(效应值=0.029,SE=0.008,95%CI:0.015~0.045),占总效应的8.4%。(4)应对倾向调节感知压力对社会支持(R2=0.33)和心理困扰(R2=0.32)的影响。

结论

COVID-19流行期间,社会支持在医务人员中感知压力与心理困扰之间起着部分中介作用,应对倾向在其中起着多重调节作用。

Objective

To explore the relationship between perceived stress and psychological distress of healthcare workers, as well as the mediating role of social support and the moderating role of coping style.

Methods

A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 064 healthcare workers in a tertiary hospital of Changzhou by using Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, 10-item Perceives Stress Scale, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, and 12-item General Health Questionnaire. Correlation analysis, SPSS-process mediation and adjustment methods were used for data processing.

Results

The whole average score of social support was(64.56hole a), positive coping subscale was(25.67ive c), negative coping subscale was (11.63ive c), perceived stress was(19.14ived ) and psychological distress was(13.47 dist). There was a positive correlation between perceived stress and psychological distress(r=0.40, P<0.001), and a negative correlation with social support(r=-0.14, P<0.001), positive coping subscale(r=-0.14, P<0.001). Social support played a significant partial mediating role between perceived stress and psychological distress(indirect effect value=0.029, SE=0.008, 95%CI: 0.015-0.045), accounted for 8.7% of the total effect. Coping style moderated the effects of perceived stress on social support (R2 = 0. 33 ) and the effects of perceived stress on psychological distress (R2 =0.32 ).

Conclusion

Social support plays a partial intermediary role in perceived stress and psychological distress, and coping style plays a multiple moderating role during COVID-19 epidemic.
