Abstract:
Objective
To investigate the clinical effects of gastric tube of lavage guided by endotracheal tube in treatment of acute severe organophosphate poisoning(ASOPP).
Methods
A retrospective study was performed to analyze clinical data of 40 patients with ASOPPtreated from March 2012 to March 2015 in our hospital.According to the rescue procedures,40 patients were divided into control group and observation group and all the patients underwent endotracheal intubation first. The patients in the control group (20 cases) were subjected to normal gastric lavage and those in the observation group(20 cases) were treated with gastric tube lavage guided by endotracheal tube. The success rate of emergency and the intubation time were compared between two groups.
Results
In observation group, the success rate of once intubation was 95% and total success rate of intubation was 100%,which was significantly higher than 30% and 55% respectively in the control group (P<0.05).The time for intubation was(245.3 ±29.4) s in the control group, significantly longer than (95.8 ±16.4) s in the observation group (P<0.05).
Conclusion
For the patients with ASOPP,the gastric tube lavage under guidance of the endotracheal tube has a high success rate of one-time intubation, short intubation time and pain relief of the patients.
