Abstract:
Objective To probe into the opportunity of early vitreous surgery and clinical effects in patients with open emergency ocular trauma.
Methods 65 patients with open ocular trauma who accepted treatments in our hospital from June 2013 to June 2014 were taken as the studyobjects, and there were a total of 65 eyes.According to the different surgical methods, 32 patients (32 eyes) were accepted the conventional II-stage vitreous surgery (control group) while 33 patients (33 eyes) were treated with the early vitreous surgery (observation group). Then, the surgical effects of the two groups were observed and compared, and the incidence of postoperative complications was recorded.
Results There was no significant statistical differencein the preoperative glass volume of blood, retinal detachment, lens rupture, corneal laceration incidence between the two groups of patients(P>0.05). In the observation group 28 cases were functionally cured, 4 cases were anatomically cured and1 case was notcured; the cure rate was 96.97%.In the control group, 16 cases were functional self-healing, the anatomic healing in 10 cases, and 6 cases were ineffective; the cure rate was 81.25%.The difference had statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05). The postoperative complication rate was 9.09%in the observation group, and 25% in the control group; the difference had statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion The clinical effects of early vitrectomy in the treatment of open emergency ocular trauma are significant, which can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and thus should be promoted in the clinical application.
