Abstract:
Objective Exploring the application of mind mapping in the nursing training of hand-washing nurses in laparoscopic surgery.
Methods This study included 30 hand washing nurses who is engaged in laparoscopic surgery. In April 2018, they were enrolled, trained, and evaluated for laparoscopic nursing care of mind mapping. 100 laparoscopic surgeries of 30 nurses were randomly selected from January to March 2018, three months before the training. 100 laparoscopic surgeries of 30 nurses were randomly selected from May to July 2018, three months after the training. The Pre-operative preparation time, the times of the nurses out of surgery room, the satisfaction of the surgeons, and the comprehensive ability of the hand-washing nurses were observed and evaluated before and after the training.
Results Average pre-operative preparation time before training was 30.31 min. The average pre-operative preparation time after training was shortened to 25.36 min (P<0.05). The average times of nurses out of the surgery room before training was 7.21 times. The average times of nurses out of the surgery room after training was reduced to 4.63 times (P<0.05); the overall satisfaction score of the surgeon after training was 97.2 points, which was significantly higher than the pre-training 90.9 points (P<0.05), among which the process familiarity, operation technique and the scores of proficiency, environmental sanitation and nursing attitude were significantly improved after training (P<0.05). After training, the average comprehensive ability score of hand-washing nurses was 94.9 points, which was significantly higher than 86.7 points before training (P<0.05). Among it, the team spirit, brain development, communication coordination, nursing confidence, honor responsibility and other five aspects of the training were improved after the training (P<0.05).
Conclusions The mind mapping is applied to the nursing training of hand-washing nurses in laparoscopic surgery, which helps to improve the quality of care and sales, the satisfaction of surgeons and the comprehensive ability of hand-washing nurses.
