Abstract:

Objective

To observe the curative effect of oxytocin combined with carboprost suppositories in different ways for preventing postoperative hemorrhage after cesarean section.

Methods

A total of 180 primipara who underwent cesarean section delivery from January 2015 to March 2018 were randomly divided into groups A, B and C with 60 cases each. The amount of blood loss during surgery, 2 h and 24 h after operation and 2 h postoperative uterine contractions were compared and adverse reactions were observed.

Results

Compared with groups A and C, the amount of blood loss was significantly reduced in group B during surgery, 2 h and 24 h after operation (P<0. 05, or P<0. 01). The good rate of uterine contraction of group A was significantly lower than that in groups B and C (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of maternal adverse reactions between the three groups (P>0.05).

Conclusion

Sublingual carboprost methylate suppositories at 3 minutes before fetal delivery is more effective in preventing PPH in primipara undergoing cesarean delivery.
