Chinese experts’ consensus on clinical application of Sivelestat Sodium

Abstract

Abstract:

Sivelestat Sodium is a new drug rapidly marketed in China to treat acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) during the Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020. However, there is a lack of unified clinical medication guidelines and standards. To standardize the rational application of Sivelestat sodium in clinical practice, the professional committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association of Critical Care Medicine, and China Medical Education Association of Critical Care Medicine organized many domestic experts in critical medicine, emergency medicine, respiratory disease, clinical pharmacology and other related fields to analyze, discuss and summarize the relevant literature at home and abroad, and worked out five suggestions, and this consensus was formulated after 74 experts voted.
