Abstract:
Objective By analyzing the call time distribution characteristics, the relationship between the characteristics and consulting issues and the relationship between characteristics and the suicide risk of Suzhou psychological crisis hotline callers during 2021, to provide suggestions for the follow-up work.
Methods A total collection of 3 693 data were selected from the original 15 202 data in 2021, descriptive statistics, chi-square analysis and goodman-Kruskal tau coefficient analysis were used to carry out the relationship between variables.
Results 1.The main types of hotline consulting issues were mental psychology, love problems and marriage and family problems. Hotline consulting issues were various for different types of marriage status (married; unmarried; widowed/divorced; unknown) and gender type (male; female) (χ2=1 019.88、158.47, P<0.001). 2.Within one year, the highest suicide risk came between September and December, especially in October. 3.The suicide risk degree of different employment status was significantly different (χ2=17.67, P<0.001), there was a significant weak inverse association between age and suicide risk [Tau(τ)=0.006, P<0.001].
Conclusion Interventions can be different for various gender and marriage states in the future work of psychological crisis intervention hotline. On the other hand, more attention should be paid for the mental health issues from autumn to winter. Besides, special psychological assistance should be given to married women, the elderly and unemployed groups.
