Abstract:

Objective

To comprehensively understand the current status of healthy living behaviors among rural residents in Lin’an District of Hangzhou, as well as the primary concerns they have regarding the construction of healthy towns. This will enable us to provide more targeted suggestions and directions for the government to effectively promote the development of healthy villages and intervene in residents' health behaviors in line with construction needs.

Methods

A multi-stage stratified sampling method was used to sample rural residents aged 20 years and above as the survey subjects in Lin’an District. A self-designed questionnaire was used to collect demographic data, the knowledge, participating with supporting situations and requirements of building healthy towns for descriptive analysis. A total of 920 questionnaires were distributed, and 900 valid questionnaires were recovered, the recovery rate was 97.83%.

Results

The healthy life behaviors such as smoking, drinking regularly, "three-high" diet, regular exercise and regular physical examination were affected by gender, age, educational level and monthly income (P<0.05). The participating rate and the supporting rate of rural residents in Lin’an were 99.11% and 98.44% for constructing healthy towns, respectively. In the area of construction requirements, the highest attention points of rural residents were physical examinations and healthy dietary.

Conclusion

Targeted intervention of healthy living behavior can better meet the needs of residents for healthy township construction.
