The stratified training outline of emergency nurses based on post competency

Objective

On the basis of the model of competency theory and in the direction of the emergency nurses’ missions, this paper built up a set of stratified training outline of emergency nurses based on post competency.

Methods

We conducted a consensus-building, two-round, e-mail survey using the Delphi technique.

Results

We built up a training outline, including 14 major training programs and emergency work corresponding to the details of the training content and requirements.

Conclusions

The results of the research on the stratified training outline showed the positive coefficient of experts, the higher degree of authority, the relative concentration of opinions and the reliability of consultation. The outline covered the emergency nurses’ fundamental post competency which proved to be scientific, practical and operational.
