Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the relationship between cultural values, emotions, and compliance behavior in the context of public health emergencies, providing reference for further improving public compliance behavior in public health emergencies.

Methods

In 2021, the respondents were randomly selected from the large sample database of "Wenjuanxing" Network Platform, and a total of 4325 valid questionnaires were finally obtained. SPSS was used to analyze and test the mesomeric effect of emotion between cultural values and public compliance.

Results

There was a pairwise correlation between cultural values, emotions, and compliance behavior. Collectivism had a significant positive predictive effect on compliance behavior (β=0.637, P<0.001); Individualism had a significant negative predictive effect on compliance behavior (β=-0.220, P<0.001). Emotion had some mesomeric effect in the influence of cultural values on compliance behavior. The above effects were all statistically significant.

Conclusion

Special use of the cultural value attributes of the public to provide channels for emotional venting, timely attention to public emotional changes, is conducive to improving the spontaneity and compliance of public protective behavior.
