Abstract:
Objective
To summarize the clinical characteristics of patients with Dengue fever admitted in the Emergency Department of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in 2014 so as to provide clinical evidence for early diagnosis and treatment of Dengue fever.
Methods
A retrospective study was done on the clinical data of 89 patients with Dengue fever treated from August 2014 to November 2014 in aspects of epidemiological data，clinical features，laboratory examinations，treatment and prognosis.
Results
The onset time of the Dengue fever was from September to October.Most of the patients lived in the central town，with majority the middle-age and old-age patients.The main clinical features were fever，headache，muscle soreness.Some cases were accompanied by rash，bleeding，the decrease of white blood cells and platelet count，the elevation of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase activity.All of the patients were cured by combined treatment without antiviral therapy，with no death.
Conclusions
Dengue fever is a self-limited disease.With much rest and proper treatment，most of patients can be cured.The key to the prevention of Dengue fever is to strengthen comprehensive control measures such as health education and anti-mosquito.
