Abstract:
Objective To explore novel therapy for patients with coagulopathy after severe trauma.
Methods A total of 73 patients with traumatic coagulopathy from Affiliated Wujin Hospital of Jiangsu University and other hospitals were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into control group (n=32) and therapy group (n=41). The patients in control group received comprehensive treatment while the those in therapy group received combined use of compound amino acids and large doses of vitamin B6. The mortality rate during 15 days were analyzed.
Results Compared with control group, the mortality rate in the therapy group was significantly lower (P<0.05). Under comprehensive treatments plus compound amino acids and large doses of vitamin B6, the bleeding was gradually under control within 1.5-72 hours. The most quick speed for control of the bleeding was within 1 hour in one patient. The liver function was markedly improved.
Conclusions Novel therapy combined with use of compound amino acids and large doses of vitamin B6 is feasible in the treatment of patients with severe traumatic coagulopathy.
